My colleague needed me to help with her patient, but in the middle of the task, she had to leave and left me with her patient, who I just met for a few minutes.

I found it very hard to make out the care plan out of doctor's handwriting yesterday, I turned to Peter for help. He looked at me very seriously:

Me: No, my glasses got bifocal system, when I read Chinese, my native language focal system will be on. And my English focus will be automatically activated when English comes to my sight!

I have been sitting in front of the computer chatting along with online friends, Harvey was minding his own toys and stuff.

There was some grapes on the kitchen bench, which is at safe height for Harvey to jump onto. He launched a few jumps and couldn't get his paws on the grapes. And then he just walked away, I thought he gave up on the grapes and took my notice away from him.   

But all of sudden, Harvey sped up running in circles in the living room, before I figured out what was going on with him, I saw him jump up onto the top of the bench in a speeding velocity and grabbed the grapes in an unbelievable fast action.

For so many times, I have been so convinced that Harvey is my son rather than a pooch.

That's why I feel uncomfortable to call him a dog or throw the treats on the ground for him. I insist addressing him by his name whenever I referred him to my friends and colleagues. I insist hand-feeding him the treats whenever he shows good manners.

The previous posts were retrieved, I would like to relocate them here in a hope that it will mark one of the milestones how the friendship grows in FreeOz among all of us.

Yesterday, a beautiful girl came to my notice with eyes welling up, which hurt me so much psychologically because I care about her very much. I comforted her gently and asked her for the reason.

What surprised me was my concerns didn't calm her down but get her more upset instead. The tears were just hanging around her beautiful eyes which seemed about to tell me something.

But I am just a general mindless lady and didn't take notice of something untold. I carried on with my usual fun manners and totally overlooked what was behind this surprising turn of event.

I grabbed couple of paper towels and handed over to her: "I am not sure what is going on, but here is some paper towels for you. They are very rough and raw, but I am sure they still can do a good job for you to wipe off your tears."

She put on a brave smile in return and told me "Don't worry about me, nothing serious went wrong."

I totally bought (相信了) that story and couldn't help carrying on being my fun self: My darling girl, please tell me who got you upset, I will badmouth about her/him to make you happy.

A very subtle smile spread across her face: What if that was someone who you think is nice?

I was very determined and tried to make myself sound tough: Whoever that was, I am pretty sure I got plenty reasons to badmouth him/her for you.

She shook her head and tried to trivialize it: Never mind! It's nothing serious!

I wasn't sure why I still insisted on chatting away: Please be tough and not let anyone walk all over you (不重视你的感受). No matter who that was, let's go yell at him/her--Hey, you, please be advised, you just got the wrong person (你惹错人了).

She gazed at me and mouthed out (用口形): It was you, ping!

Oh, I certainly should've seen this one coming! (我早该看出来是因为我！)

I always believe that you are one of the most talented and intelligent guys I have ever known.

You always turn up in FreeOz with the wonderful sense of humor, everything you have brought up out there always made me have a good laugh!

Nowadays, it becomes one of my favorite daily tasks to log on in FreeOz and search what else and more @newozer just presented for the new day, if I saw nothing coming from you, I would be left in wonder until you show up there and bring on something wise and funny.

Ever since my path in FreeOz met up with you guys, my days have been lightened up and become so meaningful. Sometimes, I would spontaneously burst into laughters just because one of your jokes jumps into my mind.

To be honest, I never have been this happy in Australia until we all come together in this forum. I have really enjoyed your company in here and learned a lot from you!

Please keep each other company as always and be true to ourselves and to one another, be who we have always been!

That's the foundation our friendship has been laid on, let's be there for one another whenever needed!

Kim stopped me the first thing I walked into the ward: Ping, I feel so embarrassed now...

Me: What? Come on, Kim! Not yet, it's only 7 o'clock in the morning, what did you possible do?

Kim: Remember last night I got all cranky when I bitched about something to you?

Me: Yeah, that came up (我想起来了). Why (you feel embarrassed)?

Kim: After you left, I rechecked the record again, it turned out that my eyes slipped to the wrong line and I actually read someone else's roster as mine! Now, I feel so embarrassed about how presumptuous (自以为是的) I was to be bitchy about it.

Me: Oh, that! Don't you even mention it again! Last night, I was so flat out that I fell asleep soon after I hit the pillow. So, your embarrassment was only passed on to myself when I was sleep-talking in my dream, and I haven't got any chance to gossip to anyone else yet!

Zoe is a bit rebellious sometimes, especially when it comes to her daily outfits. Most of the time, she would wear something suitable for her age, but sometimes, she just went impulsive shopping because of the so-called good deal.

She always got good sense on smart-buys, but not much so for the dresses she chose (在对买什么样式衣服的选择上，可并不那么聪明了). Then, in order to prove her good sense of fashion, she would throw on the dresses she bought and ignore the ones I thought would flatter her (把她打扮得更漂亮).

Sometimes, what she wears actually embarrasses me. But she seems so headstrong about her taste that she insists on sticking to her own choice of outfits, which sometimes makes her look a bit funny and out of touch (脱离了联系) with her age.

Then, one day, her funny choice came to halt (停止了) after I said to her: Zoe, I am in a reasonable fear that you will soon grow out of those beautiful dresses we bought together. You just can't imagine how heart-broken I have become while witnessing you to grow older by the day (一天天地老去) due to your special taste of fashion.

Nowadays, she becomes a bit more mindful about the impulsive purchases when walking past sale promotions and more careful about what she would throw on herself for the day.  

Haahaaa, you can always make someone take off the dresses by telling them they look much older on those outfits!

Being tricky is a long process I have been through while growing up with my daughter. In the end of the day, I become a tricky mother while she grows into a daughter who always put a question mark on whatever I recommend her to do.

It's a hard mother-daughter life sometimes, but generally a sweetest and most rewarding one! Heeheee

He's got an excellent sense of how to dress me up.

I believe the best taste is from those who really love you as they really wish you most beautiful every day.

I hate being looking older than my age. So does Zoe.
