Please notice, XBlue, YOU ARE WRONG for some ideas.
The requirement for Skillmax is still IELTS 7 for Overall. Both General or Acadamic are acceptable.
Also, there is no Pre-skillmax program in AMES. The correct name of the course is English for Employment.
The concession card is issued not according to the course, whether it is Skillmax or English for Employment. It is issued according to the course study hours per week. As far as I know, all the courses in City are only on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 4 hours each day. So you can't apply for concession card in City. But those in Burwood can because it is considered full time study, 20 hours perweek.
Both English for Employment and Skillmax will help a lot on your job seeking skills and communication in workplace. Also, the courses will add value to networking and fitting in Australia culture. Take the time to meet friends and set up networking, which will definitely help you to find a job soon. |
