话说这家“泡菜国丝米达”人开的公司也太TMD的坑人阿。公司是一家Law Firm,主要业务涉及移民服务,遗嘱,公证业务,拒签申诉等等等。进去面试时候,感觉一下子就不好,感觉就是个backyard operation的小公司(虽然说咱不能太挑剔,但是也不能太将就不是,这一步走的如何,直接影响以后找工作的方向)。进了公司就有人来招呼我,然后过来了一个被介绍为是lawyer的人对我进行了长达2页A4纸的盘问,然后就是对职位进行了简单的描述。据他们说招聘的职位是Mkt Manager(尼玛,这年头还manager个屁阿,拿到手的才是实惠的,名头都是虚的),主要负责开拓公司的Immigration Service业务, target的目标群是Chinese群体。也就是说他们希望有更多的华人来使用他们的移民业务,他们觉得自己比华人提供的业务更加专业,我心里就在骂Y的是个自大狂!面完后,让我等下,然后再和他们的director碰个面,也就是公司法人,另外一位lawyer,我实在真心不愿意再面了,真的很想走人,不过咱是professional阿,咱不能一走了之阿!所以就等啊等,等了30分钟,另外那个lawyer来了,进了会议室他们又对我的工作背景问了一遍,完了后问我上一份工作的薪资多少,我说50k/year. Director直接说,我们的number是:16k/year。我以为我听错了,我就问did you say 60K?? 丝米达大叔害怕我搞错,写在了会议室的小黑板上,说16k(我去!我要是去BOXHILL每天洗盘子也不止这个年薪阿!)我点了点头表示I understand! 大叔继续说:所以说,如果你想要达到50k, 你就要很努力去争取客户,因为通过你的mkt skills,你争取到越多的客户,那么我们给你的commission会更多。我早已经失去了对这个工作的兴趣,丝米达大叔还在那里bla bla,话说他的英语真的很难听得懂,我也自认英语很不错,但是他说的 真的不知道是不是英语。话毕,丝米达竟然问我 啥时候能给他们回复?我说:does that mean you guys want to offer me the position? 人说yes。 我当即说:I have to think about it then get back to you. 丝米达说,how about tomorrow? 我说:let me think about it and I will call you tomorrow and let you know my decision.
下午等老公回家后,把这个情况跟老公沟通了下,老公当即就说,I will pay you 16K a year for not going there, and don't bother to call them and let them know your decisions. 老公说,他们连最起码的16多刀的最低薪资都没达到。
I am still looking for an appropriate career.
I've gotten jobs two times and lost them 2 times.
One is from a tricky agent, the other is from a tricky small business owner.
I will participate skillmax course next week for networking purpose and take part in a face to face interview tomorrow.
