【1】Inflation happened also in ancient times:

Recently I am wondering why the Wall Street (华尔街) plays such an important role onto the US policies and then onto the world, and why it's dominated actually by the Israelite tycoons.

I was told that I can not get a root answer without looking into the Israel from their very beginning. That's probably true as it matches to what we know in the field of network troubleshooting where you always need to track from the very end A to Z.

A couple of months ago, I started to pick up the book whenever possible, please allow me not to reveal its name here as it does not matter much on what I am going to tell today, though its name  might be well known to you.

I didn't check out all the details as I am not always a good reader, honestly I just explore along the key words 'Israel'  and see how was the '$' story going at that times , *_~

It' seems to me that the nations's economy was mainly bases on farming, herding and bartering. The book mentions market at city gate - "the Sheep Gate", the "Fish Gate" and " the Gate of the Potsherds". These names appear refer to the merchandise sold in each location. The book also mentions Jerusalem's "street of the bakers" as well as a number of trade goods. Interesting that in China, similar street names are still present in some cities like Xi'an which has longer history, yes you can google-map Xi'an city now and see how many 'funny' street names present.

What about prices? Prices naturally fluctuated through the centuries, and it is difficult to ascertain how much a particular commodity may have cost at a given time and place". Still, information from ancient sources shows that even back then, prices were subject to inflation. For example, slaves were commonly traded in antiquity.

It recorded that Joseph was sold for 20 silver pieces, which may have been shekels (=sheqel, 谢克尔, 古希伯来或巴比伦的衡量单位和钱币), probably the average price for a slave during the 18th century B.C.

Three hundred years later, he price was 30 shekels.

By the 8th century B.C., the price was 50 shekels.

Two centuries later, prices went as high as 90 shekels or more during the Persian period.

Apparently, rising prices are not just a plague of modern-day life. wow, I feel better now on my period - Oops sorry, I mean the modern-government-period.

I am still reading, hopefully I'll bring up more to our FreeOZies.

【2】Terrorist attack coming to Burwood Westfield shopping center?

BurwoodCenter.jpg

Do you know or have you ever heard about Burwood NSW? An inner west suburb of Sydney? Yes, it's where I am talking about today, seriously.

When I was driving along the street behind Burwood Westfiled shopping center yesterday morning as usual, a crowd showed up around the back entrance of the shopping center, a sense came to me that this is not something right as I have never seen such before.

Beep-Beep, oh sorry, time to go. Not long after we parked the car, then a message appeared on my mobile phone. It's from my friend - ' Hi mate, are you guys going well in Burwood?' Hm??? I quickly made a response ' ?? what about? How it comes?' ... 'Well, go back home as soon...'

It's turned out that the center was shutdown due to a 'bomb' was found in Westfield shopping center, and police have forced all the people to leave, without their cars, cars were all locked in the car park inside the shopping center. It's announced to be a terrorist attack. I heard that there's lots of fear and chaos created while the busy shopping center suddenly closed down on Sunday, until now, the investigation is still ongoing, the police could not check out more details about the 'bomb' object.

I have no idea why the AU government increased the terrorist  attack risk level to high one or two weeks ago as no explosion yet happened anywhere in OZ, no kills, even no sign until the above story just happened, perhaps the wide spread fear & chaos are even worse a blow up, as you don't know when this will come to an end, how worse it's going to be, how it's going to happen and when/ where? At least it's not something far away from us, it's now, it's here, it's just around the corner where we live and go.

Well, terrorists, can you please review your thought and see if the building/ people around here really matter what you 'concern' about?

It feels terrible to live in the fear, not knowing what could possibly happen next minute!

Maybe the government made a good call to raise the terrorist attack to a higher level! It's always better be safe than sorry!

Finally there's a source to back-up the story

I was starting to wonder if Sydney Today just made up the scene since none of the usual suspects (smh, news.com.au, daily telegraph) reported on this

【3】 Tax Return season:

Hi folks, I have been busy digging on the nasty Tax return these days, might not be showing up very often.

FYI, Google is good not only at exploring, but also in Tax return:

---------------------
In year 2009, Google.au showing up in a building in Darling Harbour Sydney, they paid zero tax to Australia, tax/gain = 0%.
In year 2012, their revenues in Australia were roughly $1.2 billion (12亿), they paid about $84k tax, tax/gain = 0.007%.
Last year 2013, their revenues in Australia were about $2 billion (20亿) apiece, but the total tax expense was only $466k, tax/gain = 0.02%.
---------------------

Hi my friend, how much is your tax/gain percentage?  ..15%, 30% ... or 45%? Whatever, I guess you well beat Google on their best ever percentage 0.02%, so this time, YOU are proudly to be the winner! Hi five~

Google is too smart, for anyone to beat, of course for ATO...

Someone from government will dig more deeply into Google's tax shenanigans shortly – and show how the company whose motto is "Don't be Evil" is paying a tiny fraction of what it should.

【4】Ny Worry Crushing Machine:

Almost have the tax return done after digging and mooing for a few days, lots of worry are gone. Generally, it's not a big pain though need to pay about 2500$ to ATO, the rate pay(pain)/gain is about 25%.

Good thing is, it once came up to my mind that how great it could be if there's some worry crushing machine in the world.

Well, I have just put up some ideas on the 'beauty' below - isn't it awesome?

worrycrushmachine.jpg

As I said it a 'beauty', please do not beat it hard but keep it running, don't let the worry make you prematurely old.
