【6】I have you say on 'The Voice of China'

Hi friends, have you spent some time on the ongoing TV program <The voice of China> year 2014?  I found it somehow, has been transforming from Voice of China to VoiFace of China... Anyway, it does bring up some thrilling songs to me - a sophisticated man in his middle ages. While the voice/song flowing into my ears like the pure and nature wind, my heart was broken ...

Though 'you' are gone with the melody of 'I promise you' due to some reasons other than the 'Voice', I believe the top numbers of clicks on your songs is the best gift in the real music world both from people and to the people, thank you guys, you are amazing.

【10】My wife has become a 逃学威龙

This morning, I got her call again mentioned she was in the library instead of on class. This should be the 9th or 10th times in the past 3 months if I didn't count it wrong, the reason is quite simple, she didn't do her assignment and could not take part in the group discussion on some topics.

Well, I told her just keep it going if she wants to be another 逃学威龙, and do it gracefully

Then the call was ended pleasantly with a sweet 'bye-bye'.

Oh, my lady~

【15】THE GOOD FRIDAY AGREEMENT (1998)

Circumstance: The long and difficult peace process in Northern Ireland
Protagonists: David Trimble, John Hume, Ian Paisley, Martin McGuinness, Gerry Adams, together with many political leaders from Britain, the Republic of Ireland, and America, and the long-suffering people of Northern Ireland
Consequence: The chance of peace

I. (1) It is hereby declared that Northern Ireland in its entirely remains part of the United Kingdom and shall not cease to be so without the consent of  amajority of the people of Northern Ireland voting in a poll held for the purpose of this section in accordance with Schedule I.

(2) But if the wish expressed by a majority in such a poll is that Northern Ireland should cease to be part of the United Kingdom and form part of a united Ireland, the Secretary of State shall lay before Parliament such proposals to give effect to that wish as may be agreed between Her Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom and the Government of Ireland.
^ ------------------  The First clause of the Good Friday Agreementt ----------------------------------------^

The signing of the agreement in Belfast on Good Friday, April 10, 1998, by representatives of the British and Irish Governments together with those from most of the main political parties of Northern Ireland was a major milestone in the long and often tortuous peace process in that country. It was not actually a peace treaty because there was never any declaration of war in the first place, but it provided a framework through which it was hoped that the armed conflict, the Troubles as it was commonly called, would finally come to an end.

想读一下一些关于FTA的新闻,还是贴到这里吧,希望楼主不要介意。看起来有标题有一丁点相关嘛,不是有人问题自由贸易和通胀什么关系吗?

G20峰会:11月,澳洲
APEC:11月,北京

http://www.abc.net.au/am/content/2014/s4123411.htm
China Australia FTA imminent
CHRIS UHLMANN: The Prime Minister Tony Abbott will arrive in Beijing over the weekend with Australia and China believed to be close to signing off on a free trade agreement soon.

Tony Abbott will be in China for the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders meeting.

Our China correspondent Stephen McDonell has been talking to people who know the details of the free trade agreement.

Well, Stephen McDonell, apart from APEC this weekend, Australia's eyes are on the G20 and signing a free trade agreement so are things getting closer in the lead-up to APEC?

STEPHEN MCDONELL: Well, in terms of a free trade deal, they're close, but they want to be able to sign this deal to make a big thing of it when president Xi Jinping visits Australia during the G20.

And so there are frantic negotiations to finish this off and basically it means that today is the day bureaucratically so that that could be announced officially during president Xi Jinping's visit to Australia.

CHRIS UHLMANN: Any idea what's in it?

STEPHEN MCDONELL: I've actually been speaking to those who are close to the negotiation.

What they're saying is that for example the sugar industry is going to miss out altogether, that the dairy industry is looking for a catch-up provision with the Kiwis. So we want the same deal that New Zealand has but with some built-in mechanism whereby Australia can catch up in a couple of years.

Apparently the coal tariff is going to be dropped.

And they're talking also about the free movement or much freer movement of labour. Now that would mean, in theory, this would be very controversial, but that Chinese workers could come to Australia. And again, in theory, that could mean that a Chinese company would be able to build the Brisbane to Melbourne high speed rail link in a couple of years, for example.
由中国公司建墨尔本和布里斯班之间的高铁....

Now that would be very controversial, to have workers come from another country to do that sort of thing. But it's one of things that have got on the table and the Chinese are keen to push that through.

Intellectual property though is also apparently a big headache at this stage also in terms of negotiations.

CHRIS UHLMANN: What about the Asian infrastructure bank which China wants Australia to join but we haven't at this stage?

STEPHEN MCDONELL: Yes, well the Foreign Minister is up here as well as the Trade Minister, will be having to explain in her meetings why it is that Australia pulled out of this and China was under the impression that we were going to be part of this Chinese initiative.

But the Security Committee of Cabinet agreed and went along with what the United States has suggested and we've pulled out. China's not very happy about this as you can imagine and so there will be some discussions about that.

CHRIS UHLMANN: Finally Beijing is famous for its pollution, what's the sky looking like at the moment?

STEPHEN MCDONELL: Well, it's actually absolutely beautiful the weather here at the moment. And what China's able to do because of the nature of the economy here is turn everything off. So all of the factories in Hebei, which is the area around Beijing, and even inner Mongolia, they've just been switched off for the duration of APEC. Plus half the cars have been ordered off the road in an odds and evens numberplate system.

哈哈,天气很好,临时关闭工厂就可以了,世博会的上海,天也很蓝。。。。

And it's worked. A bit of wind has come along and the weather is absolutely beautiful. You've got these huge blue skies which people are so unfamiliar with in Beijing. But it's actually led to this expression that's taken off on the internet, something called APEC blue.

【16】A good question I got yesterday

Someone gave me a topic of "why English is a beautiful language?" and 2 minute to answer.

Then I got embraces embarrassed as I could not bring up any details up to my mind, I have been meaning to mention Shakespeare but I immediately got this idea away the next second, as I realised the audience must have known him better than me then I'd trap myself. After the torturing 2 min gone, I could hardly remember what I have talked but the most 'powerful' point - 26 letters only alphabet, which makes the keyboard simple for input and what you see is what you get.

As this seems to be serious, I am not sure what points you have on this topic ...

【17】Impatience Can Be Harmful

Imagine this scenario: A man is driving on a two-lane road in a no-passing zone. The woman in the car in front of him is driving slightly under the maximum speed limit. To the impatient man, she seems to be driving far too slowly. After dangerously tailgating her vehicle for a few minutes, he loses all patience and passes her at a high rate of speed. In the process, he breaks the law and risks causing an accident.

What about the woman who does not have the patience to work with people who are not as fast or as smart as she is? Or the man who when waiting for an elevator keeps impatiently pushing the call button? Do you often become impatient with your elderly parents? Or are you a parent who quickly runs out of patience with your young children?  Are you easily annoyed by the mistakes of others?

Everyone is likely to become impatient on occasion, but there may be serious consequences when bouts of impatience are an everyday occurrence.

That's no good, no good, no good.

But I have to admit that I am doing in the same way on my kids ...   and then my parents lose their patience on me...

Hey Thanks for the sharing and good work! Was the book you researched on, the Bible?

Just had the pleasure to read the first one and would like to return some feedback to the sharing (some in brackets). Please correct if I am wrong

Recently I am wondering why the Wall Street (华尔街) plays such an important role onto the US

Recently means the time from a short period ago leading to now, so would be I have been wondering

policies and then onto the world, and why it's dominated actually by the Israelite tycoons.

Israelite means the people of ancient Israel (diff geo etc), esp those in the context of the Holy Bible.
To differentiate, "Israeli" in the modern time.

I was told that I can not get a root answer without looking into the Israel from their very beginning.
No "the" before Country name
root answer may not be a phrase native speakers use

That's probably true as it matches to what we know in the field of network troubleshooting where you always need to track from the very end A to Z.

A couple of months ago, I started to pick up the book whenever possible, please allow me not to reveal its name here as it does not matter much on what I am going to tell today, though its name  might be well known to you.

I started to pick up "a" book whenever possible. I d prefer a over the in the context.
Could use either ; or () to separate the last sentence.

I didn't check out all the details as I am not always a good reader, honestly I just explore along the key words 'Israel'  and see how was the '$' story going at that (the/those) times , *_~

It' seems to me that the nations's economy was mainly bases (based) on farming, herding and bartering. The book mentions market at city gate - "the Sheep Gate", the "Fish Gate" and " the Gate of the Potsherds". These names appear(ed) refer to the merchandise sold in each location. The book also mentions Jerusalem's "street of the bakers" as well as a number of trade goods. Interesting that in China, similar street names are still present in some cities like Xi'an which has (that have "plural") longer history, yes you can google-map Xi'an city now and see how many 'funny' street names present ( present to there are).

What about prices? Prices naturally fluctuated through the centuries, and it is difficult to ascertain how much a particular commodity may have cost at a given time and place". Still, information from ancient sources shows that even back then, prices were subject to inflation. For example, slaves were commonly traded in antiquity.

It recorded that Joseph was sold for 20 silver pieces, which may have been shekels (=sheqel, 谢克尔, 古希伯来或巴比伦的衡量单位和钱币), probably the average price for a slave during the 18th century B.C.

Three hundred years later, he (his) price was 30 shekels.

By the 8th century B.C., the price was (had gone up to if by was used) 50 shekels.

Two centuries later, prices went as high as 90 shekels or more during the Persian period.

Apparently, rising prices are not just a plague of modern-day life. wow, I feel better now on my period - Oops sorry, I mean the modern-government-period.

I am still reading, hopefully I'll bring up more to our FreeOZies.

【18】Song to share -  How bad can I be?

How ba-a-a-ad can I be? I'm just doing what comes naturally.
How ba-a-a-ad can I be? I'm just following my destiny.
How ba-a-a-ad can I be? I'm just doing what comes naturally.
How ba-a-a-ad can I be? How bad can I possibly be?
Well there's a principle of nature (principle of nature)
That almost every creature knows.
Called survival of the fittest (survival of the fittest)
And check it this is how it goes.
The animal that eats gotta scratch and fight and claw and bite and punch.
And the animal that doesn't, well the animal that doesn't winds up someone else's lu-lu-lu-lu-lunch (munch, munch, munch, munch, munch)
I'm just sayin'.
How ba-a-a-ad can I be? I'm just doing what comes naturally.
How ba-a-a-ad can I be? I'm just following my destiny.
How ba-a-a-ad can I be? I'm just doing what comes naturally
How ba-a-a-ad can I be? How bad can I possibly be?
There's a principle in business (principle in business)
That everybody knows is sound.
It says the people with the money (people with the money)
Make this ever-loving world go 'round
So I'm biggering my company, I'm biggering my factory, I'm biggering my corporate sign.
Everybody out there, take care of yours and me? I'll take care. of. Mine, mine, mine, mine, mine. (shake that bottom line)
Let me hear you say 'smogulous smoke' (smogulous smoke)
Schloppity schlop (schloppity schlop)
Complain all you want, it's never ever, ever, ever gonna stop.
Come on how bad can I possibly be?
How ba-a-a-ad can I be? I'm just building an economy.
How ba-a-a-ad can I be? Just look at me pettin' this puppy.
How ba-a-a-ad can I be? A portion of proceeds goes to charity.
How ba-a-a-ad can I be? How bad can I possibly be? Let's see.
(How ba-a-a-ad can I be?) All the customers are buying.
(How ba-a-a-ad can I be?) And the money's multiplying.
(How ba-a-a-ad can I be?) And the PR people are lying.
(How ba-a-a-ad can I be?) And the lawyers are denying.
(How ba-a-a-ad can I be?) Who cares if a few trees are dying?
(How ba-a-a-ad can I be?) This is all so gratifying.
How bad.
How bad can this possibly be!?
