最近在学习关于食品的单词,开贴做个记录。

提拉米苏
Tiramisu
Tiramisu (Italian: tiramisù; Venetian: tiramesù [tirameˈsu]; literally "pull me up") is one of the most popular Italian cakes. It is made of biscuits (usually savoiardi) dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of egg yolks and mascarpone, and flavored with liquor and cocoa.[1] The recipe has been adapted into many varieties of puddings, cakes and other desserts.

Moussaka慕沙卡茄子派

Most versions are based primarily on sautéed eggplant (aubergine) and tomato, usually with minced meat.
主要成分是茄子、土豆和肉末。起源奥斯曼土耳其帝国。

burrito 墨西哥玉米煎饼

It consists of a wheat flour tortilla wrapped or folded around a filling. The flour tortilla is usually lightly grilled or steamed, to soften it and make it more pliable. In Mexico, refried beans, Mexican rice, or meat are usually the only fillings and the tortilla is smaller in size.

Tempura, is a Japanese dish of seafood or vegetables that has been battered and deep fried.
原来天妇罗就是海鲜或蔬菜裹面粉糊糊油炸而成,这么没文化的食品竟然翻成听起来这么高档的名字。

Borscht 罗宋汤

is a soup of Ukrainian origin that is popular in many Eastern and Central European countries.
In most of these countries, it is made with beetroot as the main ingredient, giving it a deep reddish-purple color. In some countries tomato may occur as the main ingredient, while beetroot acts as a secondary ingredient.
Hot borscht, usually contains heavy starchy vegetables including potatoes and beets, but may also contain carrots, spinach, and meat. It may be eaten as a meal in itself, but is usually eaten as an appetizer with thick dark bread.

Espresso 浓咖啡

Caffè espresso, or just espresso, is a concentrated beverage brewed by forcing hot water under pressure through finely ground coffee.
Compared to other coffee brewing methods, espresso often has a thicker consistency, a higher concentration of dissolved solids, and crema (foam). As a result of the pressurized brewing process, all of the flavours and chemicals in a typical cup of coffee are very concentrated. For this reason, espresso is the base for other drinks, such as lattes, cappuccino, macchiato, mochas, and americanos.

Cappuccino 卡布奇诺

A cappuccino is a coffee drink topped with foamed milk. It is made in a steam-producing espresso machine. Espresso is poured into the bottom third of the cup, and is followed by a similar amount of hot milk. The top third of the drink consists of firm milk froth prepared a minute or two earlier; this foam is often sculpted to an artistic peaked mound. Shaved chocolate, raw sugar, cinnamon or other spices are often sprinkled onto the top of the finished drink. The cappuccino is then consumed with a teaspoon.

macchiato 玛奇雅朵

"Macchiato" simply means "marked" or "stained," and in the case of caffè macchiato, this means literally "espresso stained/marked with milk." Traditionally it is made with one shot of espresso, and the small amount of added milk was the "stain." However, later the "mark" or "stain" came to refer to the foamed milk that was put on top to indicate the beverage has a little milk in it, usually about a teaspoon.

Cafe mocha 摩卡 (mochaccino)

Like a caffe latte, it is typically one third espresso and two thirds steamed milk, but a portion of chocolate is added, typically in the form of sweet cocoa powder, although many varieties use chocolate syrup. Mochas can contain dark or milk chocolate.

In the United States, "Americano" is used broadly to mean combining hot water and espresso in either order, but in a narrower definition it refers to adding water to espresso (espresso on the bottom), while adding espresso to water (espresso on the top) is instead referred to as a long black.
掺水咖啡就是了。
纠结的是,水掺咖啡和咖啡掺水会产生两种咖啡。。。

Fondue is a Swiss and French dish of melted cheese served in a communal pot (caquelon) over a small burner (rechaud), and eaten by dipping long-stemmed forks with bread into the cheese.
芝士火锅据说是瑞士某芝士协会为了大量增加芝士消耗量想出来的阴谋。霍霍。。。
作为中国火锅的粉丝,对这种换汤不换药的雷同不由得。。。

Fusilli 螺旋面?辫子面?

Fusilli is a long, thick, corkscrew shaped pasta, commonly with 3 interlocking screws .
还有一种短一点的螺旋面叫Rotini。这些弯弯绕的结构据说是为了很好的夹住酱汁和辅料。

Tom yum or Tom yum goong 冬阴功

Tom yum is characterized by its distinct hot and sour flavors, with fragrant herbs generously used. The basic broth is made of stock and fresh ingredients such as lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal, lime juice, fish sauce and crushed chili peppers.

Tom yum is usually made with prawns (tom yum goong or tom yum kung), chicken (tom yum kai), fish (tom yum pa in Laotian and tom yum pla in Thai), or mixed seafood (tom yum thale or tom yum po taek) and mushrooms - usually straw mushrooms or oyster mushrooms. 据说公元前2000就有人吃这东西了。这个词起源于土耳其。
