It is time to see maples at finest place Mt Wilson of Blue Mountains on April 21/22 2012. We will have half day walk “Blue Gum Grandeur” on April 21 2012 before camping and super FB at Mt Wilson in the evening and another half day walk at Mt Wilson village after breakfast on April 22 2012.
Blue Gum Grandeur (6KM, 400 meters ascent/400 meters descent, 3-4 hours):
There is a view that you are not a real Sydney Bushwalker until you have been to the blue Gum Forest. It is not an easy journey. The route chosen for this day walk into the Blue Gum Forest uses the least difficult path into this enchanted location. The adventure begins through Pierces Pass, which has a sheer rock face towering over the path. There is a long descent to the Grose river and steep ascent on the return.
