you will still be required to meet all the requirements to be a PR I think, no matter you've got a baby or not. But of course, when your baby is an Australian citizen, there must be parents to look after the baby, so normally the immigration would not reject to give you PR. And after the first 5 years of PR visa, what you will get is not to extend the PR visa, but to get a resident return visa, I think. To qualify to get the resident return visa, you will need to meet the requirement of living here for at least 2 years in the last 5 years. Otherwise, they will still ask the question why you need to be PR when you don't actually live here as PR. |
