Digital Signal Processing Engineer - Embedded Devices - Permanent role

Key Responsibilities
In order to help Cochlear bring new products to market that help people with hearing loss, we are recruiting for a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer in our Software and Sound Processing department.
To be successful in this role you'll be able to produce quality Assembly, C and Python code to contribute to the delivery of Cochlear's products to market. You'll work collaboratively with and learn from an experienced global development team of engineers to implement digital signal processing algorithms on our customer platforms for Cochlear products. This technical role is responsible for producing product development code in C and Assembler, as well as contributing to the product verification and validation of DSP Firmware against requirements.
This permanent role will be a terrific learning opportunity if you have strong knowledge of C programming for embedded devices and are keen to develop your career in DSP. Working with a small, talented team of Senior Engineers you will have the opportunity to learn from them and over time to develop project skills and an understanding of the architecture of the platform and its integration into a complex system. You'll know you've been successful in this role when you've seen your work delivered to market in the next generation Cochlear implant system
Key Requirements
To add value to Cochlear in this role you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience in your application and at interview:
Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
An ability to write quality C code for embedded devices as demonstrated through your tertiary studies or commercial experience
Experience with either Matlab or Python through your tertiary studies or in a commercial environment
Demonstrated experience (or extra-curricular projects in) DSP, embedded devices or Firmware.
Proven experience working in a team environment to successfully deliver projects
The desire to build a career in DSP in a product development environment
