新洲NSW州政府上议院投票通过了关于同性婚姻的提案

这个意思就是说：同性婚姻即将在NSW被承认！

这是争取同性婚姻全国合法化的第一个胜仗！

Thank you for your email to The Hon Don Harwin MLC, President of the Legislative Council in the Parliament of NSW, regarding the motion on the Notice Paper today concerning the matter of marriage equality.

Following the conclusion of the debate in the Legislative Council early this afternoon, the motion was passed 22 votes to 16. As President of the Legislative Council, Mr Harwin does not have the opportunity to cast a vote on matters before the House except in the circumstance of a tied vote.

The matter was a conscience vote for members of the Liberal, National and Labor parties. Votes for and against the motion were cast by members of each of these parties.

The Members who voted in favour of the motion were:
LIBERAL: Ajaka, Cusack, MacDonald, Pearce
NATIONAL: Blair, Khan, Mitchell
LABOR: Cotsis, Fazio, Primrose, Roozendaal, Searle, Secord, Sharpe, Veitch, Voltz, Westwood
GREEN: Barham, Buckingham, Faehrmann, Kaye, Shoebridge

The Members who voted against the motion were:
LIBERAL: Clarke, Ficarra, Gallagher, Lynn, Maclaren-Jones, Mason-Cox, Phelps
NATIONAL: Colless, Gardiner, Pavey
LABOR: Donnelly, Foley
CHRISTIAN DEMOCRAT: Green, Nile
SHOOTERS & FISHERS: Borsak, Brown

从各政党的投票可以看出来个政党对同性婚姻的态度：
Liberal 多数不支持
National 半数支持
Labor 多数支持
Green 全部支持
Christian 全否决
Shooters 全否决

不过结果还是以22比16，以58%的多数票通过了。
