给写大作文的同学 ----- Writing Essays

这里的写作，通常各体裁有各自的套路，类似 ‘八股文’
有了套路，写作就容易多了；写偏了路子，这里的人们期待看到的没有看到，就会断定你的文不是好文。
莫担心，大家可能写得一样； 莫担心重复主题观点。

3 main types of essays
- discussion
- argumentative
- personal or reflective

Aviod jumping straight to the writing. Remember to:
- analyse the question
- brainstorm ideas
- research

A simple structure
- Introduction
- Body
- Conclusion

Intro
- leads the reader into your topic (general statement, opening sentence/s)
- links to the question (thesis)
- gives an overview of your writing content (outline your points, preview)

Body Paragraphs

Have you heard of 'T E E L'?
It's how a body paragragh is built up:
T - topic sentence (make a point  linked to the question)
E - expand (give more details)
E - evidence (examples)
L - link (link back to main point)

Conclusion
- tie together idears
- may show some personal insight
- It Must NOT Contain Any New Information
