A trip down to the far south is always somewhere in the back of my head.
You took the ferries. What about flying in, and then hire a car, do a half circle the stays? Would refer to your itinerary

One thing for sure, tassie wouldn't be coloured in brown and red like the outback of Queensland. Would it?

fantastic! I know that Tasmania is the perfect place to learn about Australian's early history. yping has got the experience in first-hand. You wouldn't skip over this chapter of Tasmania as i expected.

I understand exactly what you felt about all of these.
I would, too,  get quite emotional when these events come up. Regardless nationalities and races, after all, we're all human beings. Once we've learned about the history of the nation and the people of the country, I cannot stop feeling for them, as I do to my Chinese people.

Surely it's not something they did that they could be proud of.
Similarily, you mention the convicted minors, which reminds me of a documentary that I saw on TV about British child migrants secretly transported from Britain to other countries, another shameful policy to the government back then.
I take comfort in seeing the flip side of it, that is - everyone today can talk about it and make it into movies (as lots of directors have done) free of any charges.

The pruning's well done.
The soil looks dry and sandy; the row spacing is very much generous.
Plus lots of sunlight and cool climate, everything is just right for lavender.
Fabulous shots, yping. I could see clearly every detail of it. I always think of having a close look at the lavender farm (my friend's been there, too). It's now right in front of my eyes. I assume I don't have to make a trek over there. Ah, haaha
