Along the line of the discussion, what if the cabin boy, Richard Parker, was dead already. Would it be okay to consume his body to survive? If you believe the cannibalism is morally absolutely wrong, would you go on starving to death? And the sailor, Brooks, maybe he didn't participate and consent to kill Parker, but does consuming the boy's body later on in order to survive makes him morally correct or makes his act legal? The lecture reminds me of a real story that in a plane crash in South America where the survivors had to rely on eating corpse to go on waiting for rescue...
