我写了email问了sydney的ivf,他们的回信如下:太出乎意料了,要自己支付那么多!!
Further to your e-mail enquiry below, please find attached sample quotations for IVF and a Frozen Embryo Transfer.
These costs are based on treatment being carried out at Sydney IVF (CITY) that you have Medicare entitlement but no Private health insurance.
IVF Cycle - $9,505.00 (AUD)
This cost includes from Day 1 of FSH (follicle stimulating hormones):
· All Ultrasounds & blood tests (incl first pregnancy test) done within Australia;
· Lab, Scientist & Administration fees;
· Coordination of your cycle by your nursing team;
· Your Sydney IVF Specialist fees for your day surgery procedures and the planning and management of your cycle;
· Counselling;
· Sydney IVF day surgery fees
· Local anaesthetic
Additional Costs
You may also have other additional costs involved within your cycle, such as Freezing of Embryos etc. Please see the attached ‘Back Page’ where these are outlined.
If the first embryo transfer did not result in pregnancy but you did have viable embryos for freezing then you would undergo a Frozen Embryo Transfer cycle (CRYO).
Frozen Embryo Transfer Cycle - $3,580.00 (AUD)
This cost includes from Day 1 of your cycle:
· All Ultrasounds & blood tests (incl first pregnancy test) done within Australia;
· Lab, Scientist & Administration fees;
· Coordination of your cycle by your nursing team;
· Your Sydney IVF Specialist fees for your day surgery procedures and the planning and management of your cycle;
· Counselling;
· Sydney IVF day surgery fees
· Local anaesthetic
Additional Costs
You may also have other additional costs involved within your cycle. Please see the attached ‘Back Page’ where these are outlined.
Payment Options
You have two options for the cycle payment. Option 1 is for credit card payments and allows you to defer the payment until after each of your procedures and requires the submission of a completed credit card authority prior to the collection/dispatch of FSH. Option 2 is for all other payment methods and payment would be due prior to the collection/dispatch of the FSH injections.
Medicare Rebates
Please refer to the attached ‘Back Page’ which identifies the rebates from Medicare on an IVF cycle as highlighted.
Private Health Insurance
Health funds, as a rule, do not cover assisted reproductive services, as the majority of the treatment is done as Out-Patient & therefore partially rebated under Medicare as per above. The part that would relate to a health fund would be the In-Patient procedures, required as a Day Admission to the clinic (noted on the quotation sample as ‘Day Surgery’).
If you have Private Health insurance within Australia, there may be a cost difference in your payment. This is dependent upon whether the health fund is ‘contracted’ with Sydney IVF.
On our website there is a list of Health Funds that contract with Sydney IVF:
http://www.sydneyivf.com/Costoft ... id/353/Default.aspx
The benefit of using a health fund that contracts with Sydney IVF, is that when you come in for your consultation we can find out what level of cover you have relating to your particular cycle. We then deduct any benefit from your treatment cost & then we claim this back from your health fund. With a non-contracted fund, we would not be able to check your level of cover as those health funds do not allow us to access this information, however we would still lodge your claim for you & any claimable amount would be refunded back to you from your fund.
When calling to clarify your cover with your private health insurer, ask to speak to the ‘Hospital Cover Check Department’, advise that you are having ‘Day Surgery for IVF’ & want to know your level of cover relating to the item numbers below:
Item No Accommodation Band Theatre Level Description of Service Cost
13212 3 3 Oocyte Retrieval ($1,035)
13215 1 1A Embryo Transfer ($560) |
