the quote （that it needs to be the subject of our assignment ）
不同吧
还是说理解为the quote （that we need ） to be the subject of our assignment 呢

个人感觉：
2楼的说的就是你最后一句英文的意思。
that we need修饰the quote
实际上这部分的主干是quote to be subject
