Further Documentary Requirements
1) * Have your non-migrating parent complete the enclosed statement in regard to
your migration to Australia, and return it to us with a copy of their Chinese ID
Card and contact details.
Q: There is no non-migrating parent. Both my husband and I will go to Austrlia with our son. Does this requirement still applicable to us?
A:. The "non-migrating" parent here means the parent who are not the sponsor. I noted that both you and your husband are holding a valid PR visa, however, as your child is under 18 years old, we still need your husband's consent regarding your child's migration to Australia.
2) * Undergo a medical and x-ray examination at an immigration panel doctor of your choice (x-ray requirement applies only to individuals over 11 years of age.). Please see http://www.china.embassy.gov.au/bjng/DIMA0402.html for a list of our panel doctors.
3) * A completed Form 886, which may be downloaded at http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/886.pdf.
4) * Provide the Australian National Police Check issued for the sponsor.
Q: I have only stayed in Australia for 2 weeks, do I still need this NPC? Does my husband need this NPC as well? How to make a payment?
A: NPC is required for the sponsors only, so your husband does not need to apply for that. No matter how long the sponsor has stayed in Australia, they are required to provide NPC. As for how to apply for NPC and its charge, please contact AFP via www.afp.gov.au/business/national_police_checks or by telephoning the AFP on (02) 6202 3333. |
