Procedure
Method
1. Preheat oven to 160°C.
2. Cream the butter, sugar and vanilla. Add plain flour, ground cinnamon and macadamia nuts, mix until combined. Knead dough on floured surface until smooth, wrap in plastic, refrigerate 30 minutes until firm
3. Roll out dough between two sheets of baking paper to 8mm thickness. Cut out stars with star cutter, place on greased baking tray.
4. Bake 20 minutes or until cooked, cool on wire rack
5. Decorate shortbread with melted chocolate, glace cherries and extra macadamia nuts. If desired, sprinkle with caschous or cinnamon.
