Very good comments on Sydney Suburbs.
I want to add a few things about North Shore, since I work in North Shore and lived here for around half a year, kind of liked it for the peaceful & bushy feeling. It is convenient to comment via the North shore line, and a lot of good schools, great for family living. Chatswood is a very convenient areas filled with variety of food & shops, mainly HK/ TW & Koreans, kind of expensive already, but you can still find 2BR Units for around 550-600K. St Leonard & Crows Nest is very good area too with lower shore convenience, train line, easy access to free way & filled with restaurants and young people. If the budget is limited then you can go to Hornby area and get a 2BR Unit for less than 400K.
Since we don't plan to stay here for long and there's no kids plan yet, we didn't choose Hornsby area but select another area with a slight higher budget but with great sea/ ocean view. About 30 min drive towards the east of Chatswood. 10 minutes walking access to beach, family oriented and filled with all Auzzi or British people. The area is called Dee Why. Upper North shore than Manly, Curl Curl but with great waves and surfing areas. When you looked at the ocean, you know the great benefits of living in a metropolitan city with beach access and truely enjoyable life style. Well if you can afford a semi retirement life, you can go even upper on the north shore to Mona Vale, Collory, Avalon & Palm Beach area. |
