若是新法在今年7月1日实施，只要能在2010年7月1日前提出入籍申请，就不用考英语。

People who are permanent residents before the commencement of the new legislation will only need to meet the current residence requirements (presence in Australia as a permanent resident for periods amounting to two (2) years in the last five (5) years including one (1) year in the last two (2) immediately prior to making the application) provided they applied within three (3) years from the day the legislation commences.  kaU

q,V:s在新法案生效之前已经成为永久居民的人，如果在新法案生效后3年之内申请，那么将只需要满足现有的居住要求（申请前5年内有两年，以及申请前2年内有一年以永久居民身份生活在澳洲）。
