Yesterday evening, we knew from a relevant channel that the program forecast on the "A Current Affair" column broadcasted by your station involved the program "Running Man" we in Australia not long ago. "The 'Running Man' program group refused to pay remuneration for personal services of the local people after completing program shooting in Australia," the news forecast said. After that, the news was widely spread through some WeChat public accounts, Weibo accounts and network media. Zhejiang Satellite TV and the program group therefore attach great importance to this matter. We are so sorry to know that the local workers have no received their remuneration of labor. On the evening of December 14, the program group immediately launched an investigation and urged the relevant executive company to solve this matter as soon as possible. Concerning the news, we hereby make a statement as follows:
1. With regard to the shooting of "Running Man" in Australia, Zhejiang Satellite TV has signed a formal line production agreement with SPARK EVENT AND CONCERT MANAGEMENT ("SPARK" for short" recommended by Tourism Victoria of Australia. Both parties agreed that the local people assisting the shooting of "Running Man" are engaged and managed by SPARK and their remuneration of labor are paid by SPARK. Zhejiang Satellite TV and the program group were shocked when learning that the local personnel engaged by SPARK had not received any payment from SPARK and paid high attention to this matter. We held an emergency meeting and contacted SPARK at first time, requesting it to handle this matter appropriately as early as possible to protect the legitimate rights and interests of relevant contract workers. According to relevant national regulations, original copies of the contracts and bills issued by the other party must be taken as the premise for the settlement between our program group and SPARK. A relevant person in charge of SPARK said that the original copies of bills were sent out from Australia on December 14 and are still on the way at present.
2. The "Running Man" program group received great care and support from relevant departments of Australian Government and the local people, so we would like to extend our most sincere thanks to them! However, we notice in the mean time that some individuals and media have been working out and spreading false news. For this, Zhejiang Satellite TV and the program group will collect evidence and reserve the right to resort to law.
