刚才whirlpool上看到这个评论,意思是ISUZU仅次于HILUX。AMAROK半年坏了1/3, @西澳瓶鼻海豚 觉得靠谱吗?
I've been working on various mine sites in the Pilbara [WA] for 5 years now and I've driven most mainstream utes available in Australia. And in this part of Australia, this is where those utes show their true colours. Make no mistake, Hilux is still the king. Actually, Landcruiser Workmate ute is THE OFF-ROAD KING but with it's 80's style cab and rough ride, it isn't really attractive especially when it costs as much as a new Hilux SR5. But other than that, Hilux is the king, closely followed by Isuzu DMAX.
One construction mob purchased a fleet of 15-odd Amaroks and already had engine replaced in 5 of those, not even 6 months in. I mean, 1 or 2 and you could say that it just happened to be lemon and it can happen with any, but 5 out of 15 is a lot. They've been a laughing stock here for a while
As for Ford Ranger, well, just ask any fitter on BHP books how is their shiny new fleet working out. From what I can hear at the mess, over heating and gearbox issues on a regular basis. Navaras have ok engines but their electrics let them down. Colorados I won't even mention [I know, I just did] as once Isuzu pulled their engine out, the rest just collapsed. Keep in mind that all vehicles on the mines are regularly serviced and checked daily [even if you dismiss the pre-starts as "tick&flick"]. These are the harsh conditions here and only the best survive. So far, Hilux and Dmax have tackled them pretty well and that's what sets them apart from all the others.
Having said all that, if you're only going to drive on suburban roads, then by all means, get Ford or Mazda or even Holden Colorado, and she'll be right. But then again, why buy 4x4.
