I think .net is better than abap.

Brisbane government project is recruiting ABAPer! my project is  in canberra, I have been in this project since last April, I was the first ABAP contractor . Currently, we have 6 ABAPers (3 contractors, 3 permanent).Probably, they will hire more ABAPer in later when realization comes.

Comparing with .Net, I prefer ABAP, as I think, ABAP is more business and experience focusing, ABAP might be easy to get in, but it is very different between experienced and non-experienced consultant.

Job Description

As the SAP BI Support Analyst you will be responsible for providing 2nd level support to the Metcash SAP Key User community. The role provides support to implement reporting requirements to utilise SAP BW and BOBJ to achieve corporate objectives. This is an ideal opportunity to join a developing SAP functional support team with a huge scope of project work planned.  

About the role:

    Maintain and develop SAP BW data acquisition components.
    Maintain and develop SAP BW data warehouse modelling and data flow components.
    Run, monitor and take corrective action in the Process Chain monitor.
    Administer and manage the performance of the BW system.
    Create simple and advanced queries using BEx Query designer and BEx Web analyser and publish these to the SAP BI Portal.
     Provide Level 2 BW / BOBJ and Data support and issue resolution.
    Examine and troubleshoot BW issues and refer to Level 3 – SI vendor providing meaningful diagnostic information.
    Design and develop Functional Specifications to support approved change requests as well as any specification required in a project environment.
    Develop test scripts and test all Level 3 BW changes before user acceptance testing
    Test and validate the impact of implemented break fixes, support packs, upgrades or new functionality
    Collaborate with the SAP Technical Support Team for efficient resolution of support issues and implementation of change requests.

Desired Skills & Experience

  You will need:

    Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
    Previous experience in providing advice in SAP BW/ BO environments either in a SAP consulting role or SAP support centre role or participated as a process owner OR
    Experience with at least one large full SAP BW project implementation lifecycle participating as a business project team member.
    Comprehensive business expertise and proven experience in the business reporting and data warehousing
    Strong ERP data warehousing expertise.
    An industry background in Financial Accounting is highly desirable.

有资历真正符合所有这个职位要求的人，根本无须自己去找，不过在澳洲市场上这种人很少，决大多数无非是有多年经验并且善于忽悠于甲乙方的高手 - 空讲起来一套一套的。。。。

是啊，很多发出来的广告好像要得都多么多么全能牛逼的人物，然后你真的看最后拿到这个职位的，通常都是其实啥都不能干但是特能掰的，比如说阿三哥阿三姐。。

來澳洲之前,聽說SAP工作都是分工很細,叫你都懂的很少,
怎麼現在看來都是要全材的.

Linkedin group可以加入的都加入了,
connect那些recruiter可能還有用,我透過這個拿到一個合約工,
但group真沒什麼用,減肥,賣training material,resume consulting的廣告一堆.

严重同意！搞得我都懒得看mail里都说了啥。
最近有3，4个悉尼的recruiter主动跟我connect（我在墨尔本）,还有一个在invitation中说要给我介绍工作。结果都没影儿呢。

中介可不可靠靠不靠谱，其实也是双向的，毕竟人家也靠你赚钱的，同时也是一种市场积累，我做过的中介基本上听可靠的。

谢谢鼓励，前天刚谈好了一个11月开始的work placement. 同时也在找其他机会。前几天投了3个master data consultant都没戏。其中一个中介很不客气的说我的本地经历太短，没有竞争力，所以他不会推荐给雇主。

就是无偿的试用工，我自己通过linked in找到的，小规模零售业。6个周，结束后走人。好处就是提供referee。干完就圣诞节了。不知道什么时候能找到工。
