About the company
You will be working in a fast-growing start up company in an industry sector of smart home and building automation. You will be part of a small and highly technical team working in a fast-paced environment developing a new wireless platform with focus on fast delivery and reliability.
Responsibility:
•        Design, develop, document, and test communications software used in home area networks
•        Contribute to the development of product design specifications including functional requirements, use cases, detailed design, interface and test plans
•        Contribute to design verification testing processes and procedures
•        Develop codes and systems in a team environment with formalized software development life cycle
•        Contribute to design and code reviews
•        Contribute to product and system-level test efforts
•        Assist in project management
•        Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Essential Qualifications/Experience/Skills/Knowledge
•        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
•        Extensive experience in C programming with 8051-based MCU (3+ years)
•        Proficiency in all phases of software development of embedded systems
•        Commercial exposure to Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
•        Experience in project management
•        Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese (Mandarin)
Highly Regarded Attributes
•        Experience with TI’s CC2530 SoC and Microchip’s PIC24F MCU
•        Experience with IAR development suite
•        Experience with RF networks, especially 802.15.4 and ZigBee
•        Experience with low power electronics.

8051还有人用啊
我14年前开发过1年8051，可惜早就忘了

还以为是皮包公司呢，网站上除了一个传感器之外，什么产品都没有，但获得了N多奖项，关键人物还有一位”澳洲的院士“。 英文网站估计是”建设中“，也没有在澳洲的地址或者其他联系方式。
这是什么情况？:

我也想说这个，为神马还指明了8051，其实它有很多改良芯片，甚至应该用更节能、效率更高的MCU，比如AVR系列芯片等。

我推荐STM的芯片，STM8，或者STM32，51确实太老了

是啊。总是要多了解一点嘛。
这些东西好歹以前是学过的。motorola 68000
最近还一直想研究一下raspberry pi跟arduino呢。。

8051是intel出的用于嵌入式的芯片，在80、90年代风靡全球嵌入式平台，可以支持ASM、C语言。

后来有很多改良版51系列芯片，比较有名的是ATMEL的89C51、89C2051等，在指令上兼容8051，功耗、体积和功能上做了改良和扩展。

我原来对电子产品比较感兴趣，所以也做过一些这方面的开发，略有了解，呵呵。

8051读书的时候用过，N久了。。

呵呵，8051，让我想起了十几年前纯用8051汇编语言写控制台软件的岁月。当年作为毫无经验的新手，编写的程序效率实在不怎么样。不过通过毫无节操的加班，反正也让程序正常工作了。感谢这些没有太多成文规则的小公司提供了快速打怪升级的机会。
其实对于嵌入式系统而言，选用哪一款MCU只是一个比较重要的topic而已，如何实现客户需求才是最重要的。客户是不关心你用什么MCU的。
优秀的程序员，针对任何一款MCU都应该可以很好的编程。更何况，大多数的程序都是用C写的，最多用到C++。除非是写驱动，底下是什么MCU其实是没有太大关系的。
令人振奋的是，嵌入式系统，在澳洲也是有机会的。

06-07年我倒是用过8051，后来转做手机了，哈哈。。。。

8051 也不算过时，后续的改进CPU也很多，嵌入式的CPU不会和桌面系统更新那么快，功能够用就行。 此外，AVR，ARM,PIC 也很流行。
