Let's make Victoria next on Gonski

On Tuesday, we had a major breakthrough on Gonski.

NSW, the state with the most school children of all the states and territories, signed up for Gonski. That means an additional $5 billion will flow to NSW schools over the next six years. These extra funds will go where they are needed most. It’s wonderful news!

Unfortunately, in Victoria the Premier is still holding out.

He continues to play politics, accusing the Prime Minister of striking a special deal with NSW at the expense of other states.

This is not the case. Dr Napthine knows what the deal for Victoria is, and it’s time he signed up. Dr Napthine must commit the state government’s share of the additional $4 billion over six years that signing up to Gonski would deliver to Victorian schools.

In the weeks ahead, we will be ramping up the campaign in Victoria and we need you to be involved.
