希望能起到点作用。
我家里的media system是这样的。
Wireless Route - Asus RT-N16 with Tomato firmware
4 5ports Gigabit Switches
One in living, serving the EAGET M880 media player (The media player can play 1080p movies), Samsung smart 3D TV for internet TV (ABC iview), PS3 for occasional internet browsing and game play. One port if free for future AVR connection.
One in Family room at the tech corner, serving the laptop, VIOP phone, media server (HP Microserver N36L with 4 2TB HDDs in Raid 5 with Windows Server 2008 R2) and one port free.
One in Family room at the Media corner, serving the HTPC, 海美迪的A9播放器(新买的,从国内让朋友带出来的。),Samsung 3D Blu-Ray player and Samsung smart 3D TV (ABC iview)
The last one in Study room, serving my desktop and missus' working laptop. One port is routed to the next room and the last port is free for future need, for example online printer. Actually, now we have a wireless printer. So no need for this now.
With streaming the media to iPhone, iPad. I used Air Video which is pretty good to watch some TV series. But not so good for watching 1080p movies on iPad since iPad cannot decode the movie. It relies on the server to do transcoding. The CPU in the server is not powerful enough to do transcoding for 1080p movies. Now there is a new model, Microserver N56L. I hope the CPU is powerful enough now.
当然这些都将要成为过去时了,因为要搬过来。还不知道会把家安在哪个区,新的房子有没有network cable。以后再说了。
如果有人想构建一个media system, 可以一起讨论啊。 |
