A woman has tried to snatch a baby boy from his mother's shoulder sling in Sydney's south west, police say.
A 20-year-old mother was carrying her four month-old son and walking to her car in the undercover car park at Macarthur Square shopping centre, Campbelltown, about 4.45pm yesterday.
A woman confronted her, grabbed the baby and tried to take him, police said.
Police said when the woman couldn't get hold of the boy she ran away, leaving the mother and baby with minor scratches.
Local police said they would be looking at CCTV footage and called upon any witnesses to contact them.
The woman has been described as being in her late 20s, 165cm tall, with a thin build and long brown hair.
At the time she was wearing a green zip up jacket. |
