Australian comedians will come out in force for marriage equality next week.
Rallies are set to take place around Australia next Saturday, May 12 to call for Australia to end the ban on same-sex marriage.
Comedian and host of Channel Ten’s The Project Charlie Pickering will join fellow comic Tommy Little to call for change at the Melbourne event in front of the State Library.
Federal Greens MP Adam Bandt will also address Melbourne crowds, alongside Australian Marriage Equality (AME) spokesman Carl Katter, Workers Out! spokesman Ben Convey, PFLAG Victoria representative Kerrie Bietzel and Equal Love’s Ali Hogg, Louise O’Shea and Anthony Wallace.
In Sydney, openly gay comic Tom Ballard will rally the troops with past Good News Week regular Claire Hooper.
