Man: So why do you wanna be an astronomer?
Boy: Hum...
Man: You don't know much, do you?
Boy: Hum, look back in time I guess...
Man: How is that?
Boy: When you look through a telescope, you see stars from hundreds light years away. Any ideas how long it takes the light to get to you?
Man: Hundreds years, I guess?
Boy: Yeah, that's right. What you are looking at is what it looked like hundreds years ago.
Man: So when an alien lives in hundreds light years away...
Boy: There's no such thing like aliens.
Man: So how do you know?
Boy: Have you seen one?
Man: No, but I married one though.

Boy: ...
Man: Okay, but let's just say there are aliens, and one of those blasters looking through its own telescope and spots us. The alien sees earth as it was a hundred years ago?
Boy: That's right.
Man: And they get to look into the past too. That means the alien sees the world without you and me, cause we haven't been born yet.

(Good Point!)
Boy: Yeah.
