怎么理解premium？

经常会在报纸上、街道上看到premium ...这样的词语
比如 You can pre-purchase Metcards from customer sevice centres at Premium Stations ...

请问：怎么理解？

我也不太懂这个词，总看到，
有时候Premium可以作为保险金（医疗保险），名词
有时候Premium可以作为奖金（招聘上看到的）
查了一下，
还是不理解这个词在 Premium Stations里的意思， 是不是有点类似primary ？

the word may be interpreted into various meanings in different context. Yet generally speaking, you may deem it as "sth of extra/great value", or"things in excess", say,a bonus.

Premium stations here, for example, can be considered  railway stations offering a wide range of extra/superb customer services in Melbourn.

yes. And it's your decision to fit the right meaning in.

When encountered with a polysemous situation, it is ALWAYS the most crucial to refer The Word to The Particular Context.  U'll get a slim chance of misunderstanding it then.
