Victorian Energy Efficiency Target scheme (VEET) helps us to replace existing halogen down lights with LED lights, in order to reduce our electricity bills. LED down light is more energy efficient, safer and durable compared with halogen lights. The LED down lights have been accredited by Victorian government, 1 year warranty available.

down lights, otherwise about $10 will be charged for petrol), our prominent electricians are
based on Ringwood, Berwich, Sunbury, St Albans, Craigieburn and Roxburg park etc. (More
electricians will be employed to service the scheme)
Why is it for free? How does it work? (No hidden fees, no worries)
The LED down lights we install will reduce your power usage and greenhouse gas emissions, creating Victorian energy efficiency certificates (VEEC's), we can trade them through the scheme and sell to electricity retailers (AGL, Origin Energy etc.), and they will use the VEEC's to offset their carbon emissions. This covers the cost of the products and installation, which is why we can afford to offer this service (refer to www.ecomatters.com.au)
What is not in the range of free service?
1. Not for down lights with dimmers;
2. Not for 240V downlights (GU10);
3. Not for existing fluorescent lamps (Halogen replacement ONLY);
3. Not for fault transformers (transformers to provide with market price, about $15 each, customers need to confirm with electricians);

Common customer questions:
Q: Will electricity retailer add the LED down lights replacement fees in the bills?
A: This is Victorian government supported program, and has nothing to do with electricity
retailers, so they DO NOT have right to charge you.
Q: Are LED down lights not that bright as old halogen ones?
A: Old Halogen down lights turn 85% of electricity into heat, while LEDs just turn 10%, which makes LED more energy efficient, and it is hard to feel the brightness difference.
Q: I got other government supported energy efficient products before, am I eligible for this scheme?
A: Yes, you can. Government encourage all the people use any hi-tech energy efficient products under its support, as many and early as possible.
Q：I got some down lights at outdoor and basement, can I replace them?
A: Yes, you can replace any halogen down lights at your premise.
Q: Can I keep the old halogen lights after replacement?
A: No, electrician has to take old globes away to prove the completion of replacement.
Q: I thought it is government supported, how come electrician might charge a little petrol fee?
A: Electricians earn commission from every globe, but if you live far away from other customers, and electrician has to drive exclusively to service you. so in order to balance their their workload, they are entitled to charge a slim petrol fee, and they basically mention that to you in the call. While we try to collect enough customers in a single area, so electrician service together, and let customers pay any fees will be the last thing we want to do.
Q: Is it save to text my full name, address and mobile to you?
A: I have signed off agreement with LED Saves that do not disclose customers' personal details to third parties. After inputting your info. into company system, electricians will plan the most reasonable driving route and try to service as many customers as possible in a given timeframe, so your exact address is important for us to improve efficiency.
Q: What brand do you use for the LED downlights?
A: Basically we use Emerald planet or Ecomatters, both of them are great brands, please confirm with electrician, the photos above are just indicative only.
