I don’t watch football much until the world cup is on since last Friday. I watched New Zealand versus Slovakia last night. It is News Zealand’s second appearance in World Cup after 1982. It is Slovakia's first world cup participation after she became independent country in 1993. A lot of commentator said News Zealand is a very weak team because there is no player plays for well known football club. When you were watching the game, probably you would agree with the commentators.Slovakia possessed the ball most the time and the number of shoots outnumbers the New Zealand team. They had a draw in the first half. Not long after the second half started, Slovakia had a goal. We had to admit News Zealand did a great job for their defence. Slovakia was still leading one goal until just a few minutes before the match finished. New Zealand had a goal. Everyone was stunned. This was the first point New Zealand won in her World Cup history. What a great effort, good on you New Zealand team. It was similar story when we looked at the result of Brazil versus North Korea. It was 2:1. I didn't watch the game because it was too early. Albeit North Korea lost, they kicked in one goal. It was a great victory for them already. When we look other Asian teams result. Except for Australia, which was a quite embarrassing, South Korean won and Japan won. I think Asian countries are doing extremely well.

I feel sad about Chinese male football team. In 2002 world cup, we were in the world cup but we didn't have any goal and got beaten badly. Since then, Chinese male football team becomes silent in the world stage. We have 1.3 billion people, which mean we can pick one person from 100 million people and build a football team. However we don’t have a decent male football team and the team is crap. What a shame!

My conclusion is the shape of football is round and every team gets a chance in World Cup.
