My appointment with an Australian accountant

Last Tuesday I went to see an accountant recommended by someone I know. Before I went, I prepared a few questions to interview him to see if he is suitable for me. The reason I want to find a new accountant is the one I use last year is not as good as I thought. Since my tax is getting more complicated, I decided to find a better one. I arrived at 5:30pm. He is a big man with long hair. He had a self introduction. He is a director of his practice hiring a few people. He has 30 years experience. Then I asked him how much he charged. $300 per hour is his answer. My draw nearly dropped. This is equivalent to $1800 RMB. It is a monthly wage my sister  earns in China. But this guy can get it in one hour. After I found out he won't charge me for this appointment, I just cannot wait to ask him all the questions on my list. The appointment lasted for exactly one hour. When he walked me out the door, I told him you saved me a fortune tonight and he laughed.
