Using Unity View
Unity view lets you to launch, access, and run guest applications alongside host applications.
Unity View可以让你单独在宿主机上启动、访问、运行客户机程序。
Install the latest version of VMware Tools to use this view. When you run VMware Player with certain guest operating systems, you can switch to Unity view to display applications directly on the host desktop and hide the virtual machine console view. The taskbar displays items for open applications in Unity view just as it does for open host applications.
You cannot set virtual machine settings for Unity view in VMware Player. To configure the virtual machine settings you must run Workstation 6.5 or higher.
You can use keyboard shortcuts to copy, cut, and paste text between applications on your host machine and virtual machine applications displayed in Unity mode. You can also drag and drop and copy and paste files between host and guest.
Note
If you save a file or attempt to open a file from an application in Unity mode, the file system you see is the file system inside the virtual machine. You cannot open a file from the host operating system or save a file to the host operating system.
When a virtual machine is in Unity view, you can access the virtual machine’s Start menu (for Windows virtual machines) or Applications menu (for Linux virtual machines).
装了这东东有一阵子了但是从没研究过，今天在网上找找，竟然发现还有这功能，真是太强了。可以在Unity状态下把虚拟机里的软件放在宿主上运行，等于就是运行于宿主的桌面环境了。这是不是应对微软WIN7推出的虚拟XP的回应啊。
用过Win7的虚拟XP功能，其实就是让你先装上VPC,然后再要求你去一个VPC已经建好的XP虚拟机文件，感觉没有VMware Player强大。而且这软件是免费的，可以运行包括M$ VPC在内的绝大部分虚拟机创建的虚拟环境。我想说就二个字强大。当然如果你要用ACE功能的话还是要付费的。 |
