We are not in the position to define private schools as "better" ones. They are indeed more advantaged by nature in many aspects, such as fundings, facilities, family background and paretal supports. Generally these schools are stronger in their extracurricular programs, most of which are hardly to be seen in public schools. They can achieve this due to their longer tradition of forsting students' overall quality. So, if you are not on a budget, or willing to invest in your kids' education, then go for private schools.
However, public education is always the future of this country. There are many academically selective schools which are as prestigious as many private ones. Their entry requirements are soly based on academic performance, which cater for kids from fanancially average families with good educational background. Most Chinese families belong to this group.
On another note, teachers of either types of schools are supplied from uni. So no difference between a private school teacher and a public school teacher , except for their dressing code! Your kids can get quality education in both schools.. |
