Summary
The Client Engagement Manager will be responsible for managing the onsite portion of a global delivery team servicing a large ecommerce retailer in the bay area. Primary responsibility will be 1) managing the onsite portion of a global delivery team and 2) working with offshore team on various IT initiatives and 3) managing the client relationship including developing new opportunities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Global Delivery Team Management
o Manage onsite portion of a global delivery team; working with offshore dedicated team on various IT projects and ASM work
o Work with client to establish overall migration plan to offshore location
o Manage project dependencies by communicating with client IT and business areas, identifying any variances to plan and proposing solutions and alternatives for variances
o Communicate/clarify requirements to offshore team
o Assist in establish metrics, ongoing reporting, monitoring and Service Level Agreements to be communicated to client
o Act as liaison between client and offshore dedicated team
o Travel to China as required (estimated at 1-3 times a year)
• Managing the Client Relationship (support client relationship, network with client organizations, develop new opportunities at client site)
• IT Project Management (delivery to scope, schedule and budget, estimating, task delegation, client communication and status reporting, ensuring quality)
• Technical Leadership (ensuring solid design principles are followed, providing technical assistance to software engineers, managing production SLAs)
• Personnel Management (goal setting, skill development, performance feedback, career coach for direct reports)
• Sales Support (assist in proposal development, prepare estimates, schedules and SOWs, knowledge of industry solutions and technologies)
• Staffing (resource assignment, staff utilization, identifying recruiting needs)
• Recruiting (sourcing, evaluation and selection of candidates)
• BD function within potential customer internal/external business opportunities both at technical & solution based.

Position Requirements
• 7+ Years of work experience in IT Services or Software (preferable e-commerce), with at least 3 years experience managing projects and teams of people
• Solid understanding of Unix, Oracle, PL/SQL,  Java, and domain knowledge at IT outsourcing industry, onshore/offshore model and ODC resource management
• Strong experience at SDLC methodology and skill at project management
• Excellent verbal/written communications skills and client skills
• Experience working with remote/offshore teams
• Professional, accountable, reliable, driven, team player
• BS Degree is required (Computer Science, Software Engineering)
• PMP certification preferred, but not required
