For an Accountant (ASCO code 2211-11) to be eligible for priority
processing under the CSL, applicants must have scored a minimum of 7
(Proficient English) in all four components of an International English
Language Testing System (IELTS) test, or completed The Professional Year -
Skilled Migration Internship Program Accountants (SMIPA) in Australia, .

All Accountants, including those who are citizens of or who hold a current
British, American, Canadian, New Zealand or Republic of Ireland passport,
must present an IELTS test of at least 7 in each test component, or
evidence of completion of SMIPA in Australia, if they wish to receive
priority processing.

As a result, this application must now be considered in line with the
priority processing arrangements set out in a new Ministerial Direction,
effective 23 September 2009.

Should the applicant wish to provide evidence of a new IELTS result or
completion of the SMIPA program; or advise the Department of a change of
address, contact details or family composition, this information should be
sent to adelaide.gsm.documents@immi.gov.au. Please note that this is an
