In order to 祝贺澳洲家园论坛新开张，大家一起来吃饺子聚会(4月15日),we will have special events at Ku-ring-gaai-Chase National Park for this Sunday April 15, 2012. Some of us are only keen to 吃饺子聚会 while others could have flexible bushwalks before and after吃饺子 in addition to 吃饺子聚会. There will be two short and medium tracks starting at Robbin Head.In the morning we will walk about 4 KM for 2 hours before lunch and walk another medium-grade loop track of 13 KM in the afternoon.
Robbin Head – Apple Tree Bay Birrawanna loop (4 KM, 290 meters ascent)
This walk enjoys some great views and quiet bushland in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. From Robbin Head, the walk soon heads over the hill and loops down to Apple Tree Bay, up and down on the another side of Birrawaanna, returning along a similar but different route to Robbin Head , and having lunch and ……. The walk has some steep sections but is well worth the effort.
Robbin Head Loop (13KM, 619 meters ascent, 3-5 hours)
This great circuit walk enjoys a variety of landscapes in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. The walk starts at the historic Sphinx war memorial and follows a series of popular walking tracks that loop around Bobbin Head, including historic Aboriginal engravings, temperate rainforest and a lookout. As the track passes through Bobbin Head, it provides a great opportunity to take a break and pick up a snack at the kiosk before continuing on the return leg.

It is time to see maples at finest place Mt Wilson of Blue Mountains on April 21/22 2012. We will have half day walk “Blue Gum Grandeur” on April 21 2012 before camping and super FB at Mt Wilson in the evening and another half day walk at Mt Wilson village after breakfast on April 22 2012.
Blue Gum Grandeur (6KM, 400 meters ascent/400 meters descent, 3-4 hours):
There is a view that you are not a real Sydney Bushwalker until you have been to the blue Gum Forest. It is not an easy journey. The route chosen for this day walk into the Blue Gum Forest uses the least difficult path into this enchanted location.The adventure begins through Pierces Pass, which has a sheer rock face towering over the path. There is a long descent to the Grose river and steep ascent on the return. The Massive Blackhealth Walls across the Grose Valley and the Banks Walls provide the …….

It would be another different experience to revisit Royal National Park today April 29 2012 to see Tofu Rock, Bridge and Deers if possible
and revisit Botany Bay National Park (after quite while) to watch Whales.

Everyone know Royal National Park for many reasons. I have been walking at Coast track there over 30 times in past 8 years, and always found some surprising things at different time with different people. I only saw Deers once in the morning. Could we luckily see on April 29 2012? We will pass this amazing smallest bridge in the world before approaching to Tofu Rock I named 8 years ago. NB: this rock is usually called Chess Cake Rock.
