Feb 13 2011 Sunday Bushwalking at Leura and Katoomba
Leura is always a favor place (in Blue Mountains National Park) to do a lot of things. Two weeks ago we had only one hour’s stay at Sublime Look out of Leura in addition to great walks at Wentworth Falls.
This Sunday Feb 13, 2011 we are going to Leura in depths before moving our feet further to Three Sisters of Katoomba.
Look out Leura: This walk takes in numerous stunning viewpoints over valleys, creeks and waterfalls. While there are a few climbs we do not descend to the floor of Jamison Valley. The trial is mainly on the cliff top near Leura .
Meeting the Three Sisters: Just about everyone who visits the Blue Mountains calls on the Three Sisters at the Echo Point Look Out. However not many people will get to know these elderly ladies as well as hikers on this walk. We get to one of the sisters skirt-hem and further on admire the sisters from a different perspective than the many visitors at Echo Point. This hike takes us down the steep Giant Stainway to a circuit walk below the Sisters and to the less visited Leura Forest before returning via the Scenic Railway to a visitors centre. Stunning view highlight the walk around the rim of the valley back to the starting point.
The whole courses are 10-15 KM for 5-7 hours including morning tea, lunch break and afternoon coffee.
The meeting time and place
9:30 AM, Sunday 13th of February, 2011, at the corner of Craigend Street and Leura Mall of Leura

for joining great walk today around Echo Point of Katoomba.
In addiiton to great walk we had moring tea in the morning and watermelon after finishing giant stairway, and had "great" afternoon coffee at Ben Ton of Leura before heading back Sydney.
We "saw" taste of coffee this time is quite different from the those on Oct 24, 2010 when 到处流浪, Circleyue, Qikaidesheng and myself had unforgetable walk from Lockley Pylon to Blue Gum Forest (see Photos).
As our watermelon was too big, the last piece was took by person who was awared by one dollar.

The Giant Stairway provides a spectacular entry to the Jamison Valley, descending approximately 300m (1000ft) via more than 800 steps and runways.

this is the photo

Bushwalking at Blackheath on Feb 20, 2011, Sunday
Blackheath is another favor place (in Blue Mountains National Park) to do a lot of things. This Sunday Feb 20, 2011 we are heading to this area and have two spectacular walks.
The Grand Canyon: This is one of the most spectacular walks in the Blue Mountains starting at Evens Lookout with a view over part of the expanse of this World Heritage Area. The walk finishs with a climb out from the mystical Neates Glen. In between you will experience walking through the magical Greaves Creek Valley with a dark chasm below you. This journey sees you pass under waterfalls and through a narrow cave. More adventurous people abseil down to the canyon and walk or Li Lo along the stream. You may hear their happy voices as you walk by but you won’t see the abseilers, as they are a long way down the narrow cutting that is the Grand Canyon.
Bridal Veil Falls: This walks starts from the spectacular Govetts Leap Lookout and wanders along the cliff tops, before dropping through a creek, to reach the much smaller Barrow lookout, with equally spectacular views. Barrow lookout provides the bonus of clear views of Bridal Veil falls (Govetts Leap brook).
The whole courses are 7 KM with 600 meters ascent and another 600 meters descent for 5 hours.
[The meeting time and place
10:00 AM, Sunday 20th of February, 2011, at the Car Park of Evans Lookout, the end of Evans Lookout Road, Blackheath.
