What a lame excuse there! All we ask for is your willingness to learn!!!:@ 老P真厉害,美景美图看的我就只可以留口水了!!
Top Ten Tracks walked by Sydneyhiking Club in 2010
2010 is good year for Sydneyhing Club. We could not have succesful year 2010 without your participation and supporting.
Top ten tracks walked in 2010 are summerized based on my own experience.
1) Overland Track (partly) of Tasmania (December 21-22, 2010)
Overland Track may be the best one in Tasmania, the paradise for bushwalking/hiking. Over 80% walkers come from overseas (mostly from Europe). It is very comparable to Molford Track of New Zealand. You could see snow, rain, sunny and wind in 10minutes by just walking 500 meters.
We had two days experience walking there. It will take 4-6 days for whole track of ca 80 KM.
2) Lockley Pylon to Blue Gum Forest of Blue Mountains, NSW(October 24, 2010)
It was (heavy) rainy day, and only four of us (到处流浪, Qikaidesheng, Circleyue and myself) walked and all of us had quite different experience.
3) Mount Emei, Sichuan, China (May 21-22, 2010)
Another experience to be back China, and the first time in Sichuan. It was real good exercise to walk 54 KM for 12 hours with ca 3000 meters ascent, by carrying one daypack of ca 15 KG.
May 21 afternoon (from 3:00 PM), from 黄湾charge station - 报国寺 - 里音寺 - 纯阳殿 - 清音阁 -猴区 - 清音阁 - 万年寺 - Xiaoping route - 万年寺 parking station (finishing at 7:30 PM, 22 KM with over 1000 meters 上升);
May 22 (from 8:00 AM), from 万年寺 parking station - Xiaoping route - 万年寺 - 长老坪 - 华严顶- 洗象池 - 雷洞坪 - 接引殿 - 金顶 (finishing at 15:30 PM, 32 KM with over 2000 meters 上升).
4) Hinterland of Gold Coast, QLD (Feburary 12-15, 2010)
Gold Coast is well-known for kid wonderland, and the paradises of surfers. Hinterland is totally different from beaches, and surprisingly there are no many overseas walking in Hinterland.
5) Golden Staircase to Mt Solitary via Ruined Casgtle of Blue Mountains, NSW (February 28, 2010)
Special day to welcome our old friend, Funnybird from Melbourne, Victoria.
17 of us walked this 12 KM track (ascent over 900 meters ascent) for near 7 hours.
6) Six-Foot Track of Blue Mountains, NSW (March 20-21, 2010)
"6-foot track" was scheduled in Nov 21/22, 2009, but we could not make due to serious bushfires at Blue Mountains National Park.
7 of us had overnight camping at Coxs River campground.
Some of us walked 30 km with 1130 meters ascent and 1720 meters descent for 7 hours on Saturday and 15 km with 1160 meters ascent and 390 meters descent for less than 4 hours on Sunday.
7) Light to Light of Ben Boyd National Park, NSW (April 2-4, 2010)
Had a great chance to walk ca 35 KM in Paradise (Garden of Eden), Light to Light track of Ben Boyd National Park, Eden, NSW.
Eden is not close to Sydney. It took us 7 hours driving to Ben Boyd National Park, and 8 hours back Sydney with driving distnace of near 1200 KM.
8) Glasgow TK, Zigzig TK and Silvan Reservoir Park, Melbourne, VIC(April 24-25, 2010)
Many thanks Blackbird and Funnybird of Melbournehiking Club for inviting us to walk in Melboure for ANZAC day weekend.
On April 24, six of us (Funnybird, Zhuzi, 牛人小洋、强生 of Melbourne, Xiang_x_xiang and Bushwalker) walked the famous training track "The Glasgow Track" and Zigzag TK、Channel Ten TK、Camilia TK in Dandenong Ranges National Park for near 5 hours, and in the evening 17 of us (Carisu, 小猪, 老人家, 强生, 小洋, 黑鸟, 小黑, 微笑, 芝麻, funnybird, 紫月, 东港人, Monica, zhuzi, namu, Xiang_x_xiang, bushwalking) had hot pot (涮锅) at Boxhill 的Whitehorse 路的京香园, and 干掉白酒数瓶, Both 黑鸟 and Bushwalking 喝高十分热闹.
On April 25,12 of us (Blackbird, Funnybird, Wildbird, Sunny couple, Tammy, other four friends from Melbourne, Xiang-x_xiang, Bushwalker) walked over 20 KM at Silvan Reservoir for 6 hours.
9) Coastal Walk of Royal National Park, NSW (June 12-13, 2010)
It was tradition to overnight campe and walk at Royal National Park for each Queen's birthday weekend.
In 2010, 7 of us had anohter differnet experience from 2009. We saw Deers at least.
10) Seven (Eight) Bridges and Seven Villages, Sydney (October 31, 2010)
It is called Seven Bridges and Seven Villages walk running every last Sunday of October since 2006. But some of us walked "Eight" Bridges for whole course.
In 2010, over 20 of us walked whole course and had super "FB" at BBQ City.
[ 本帖最后由 bushwalker 于 1-1-2011 20:40 编辑 ] Well done, Peter, in 2010.:good :zan
Keep walking in 2011, all the best:victory: :handshake :congra
First bushwalking in 2011
After 9 days bushwalking/hiking in Tasmania in Dec 2010, today is the first day in 2011 to resume bushwalking in New South Wales.Four of us walked at easy-medium grade loop track at Heathcote, Royal National Park. We enjoyed very much.
By the way I have sent e-mail to all members to seek feedback, suggestion how to run "Sydneyhiking Club". I would very appreciate any comments via e-mail.

请Peter大佬有时间去我们的“鸟巢”看一下,估计距离宿营地至少有三十多公里的山路需要四驱车才能上,很多路由于过去几周的大雨和好跨河的泛滥而泥泞不堪、甚至关闭了,荒山野外、安全第一!:funk: Unforgettable experience to Alpine National Park of VictoriaMany thank Melbournehiking Club for invitation to the Mt Howitt track of Alpine National Park, Victoria.
3 of us (Mandy, Half and myself) drove near 1900 KM over 24 hour to join 到处流浪, 一名京人 (who just completed great walk of Victoria), and Sunny, Honeywang, 那木, 小猪, 柱子, Elina couple, 行者, 黑鸟, FB of Melbournehiking Club to have overnight camping at Howitt Plains region and evening, night and morning walks of 30 KM. All of us had wonderful time and unforgettable experience for this great weekend Jan 8/9, 2011.

[ 本帖最后由 bushwalker 于 13-6-2012 14:10 编辑 ] That was my mistake for the first time to bring ice other than beer at Mount Howitt while seeing sunset on Jan 8, 2011.
[ 本帖最后由 bushwalker 于 13-1-2011 20:27 编辑 ] Today is hot day and it is in Australian Capital Territory at least.
Several of us had about half day walk at Tridbinbilla Nature Reserve and we enjoyed very much with different experience.
This coming weekend Jan 22/23 we are heading to "Kosciuszko National Park" to have 2 days walks and one night camping along Main Range Track - Loop from Charlottes Pass camping near Mt Townsend.
This great overnight walk starts from Charlottes Pass and provides access to some of the best sights around the Kosciuszko National Park. Just a few of the features along this walk include reaching the summits of the two tallest peaks in Australia, looking down on some glacial lakes and crossing the famous Snowy River
