need a brand new suv

Need a big, strong, powerful and fuel-economical 5 seats SUV
My wife will drive this car everyday, and we will rely on it in weekend and holiday trips

First of all, it must be brand new, don't want to take the risk of any hidden faulty of a used car.
Don't want to any japanese cars, and my budget is around 25K~35K

I feel tiguan is too small, and captiva is not powerful and strong enough
never drove any of them though
Ford territory might be a good choice, but it's too expensive for my budget

Any thoughts? thanks!

LZ的要求的确很矛盾, 还要低于$35k. LZ需要多认识下市场. 如果算入新车上路的费, 那只能看$32k左右的车. 去看看韩国Hyundai的吧! 欧洲车没戏了.

这些都是小型suv，

35k可以看santa fe 或territory.5座的santafe可以看柴油的，5座的territory只能是汽油后驱的。

For those who suggest GreatWall, can it last as long as other none-China brands? I know GW is very famous and attractive for their superior configuration and low price.

I have a Cruze. though I am not very proud of it, but still I would think about the captiva, any one owns a Captiva?

I saw few Captiva on the road, it looks good for me
around 10K Captivas were sold each year, just at the level of Terrirotry

I just don't know the reason why you can not give a thought on it.

Jeep Compass Sport  4WD Auto about $30,000 drive away (2.4L);

If you want leather seats, price for drive away is still below $35K

I just had a test drive today.  Now special !!!

I am not a fan of Holden or any brand, Captiva matches quite few of my preferences, why could not it be one of the choices?

韩国车虽然挂holden牌，但是买不到commando的品质。城市SUV，长的像四驱，开户外就要掂量掂量能不能开回来了。长城好歹是非承载底盘，走过simpson沙漠的。当然每个人选择的视角不一样，从功能上考虑，我个人更愿意选长城。
