Actually brisbane is a very small market, those who can afford (and some people can't afford) a house already bought during the federal first buyer grant from 2009 to 2010. Now many of those are suffering the increasing interest rate and household cost. In some places (Logan City, Gold coast...)many homeloan repayment got delayied (worst performance in Australia). Those people can't get a peny from the new 10000 grant so we will see more and more people losing their houses, just like the situation in US (there is also cash grant to first home buyer in US now, but house price still goes down).
