Please note an authorised recipient receives any documents that the department would otherwise have given to the client. We cannot discuss details of a case with the authorised receipientunless the authorised recipient is also the client's migration agent, or the client has provided written authority to do so. If you wish to act as the authorised recipient, the applicant can submit Form 956A Appointment or withdrawal of an authorised recipientor advise the department in writing, including the name and address of the authorised recipient. This form can be downloaded at: http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/application-forms/forms_num2.htm
If however, the applicant wants to appoint a person, (whether a migration agent or an exempt person - for example, a close family member or a sponsor) so that person can discuss the applicant's case with the department (including receiving written communications from the department), the applicant needs to submit Form 956 Advice by a migration agent/exempt person of providing immigration assistance.
This form can be downloaded at: http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/application-forms/forms_num2.htm
Please note that as time and resources are limited we do not routinely provide confirmation when we receive additional documents in support of an application.
