周四参加了月会
本周末有twitch活动,president还叫我参加呢,可惜现在忙得不行,去不了
The Birds Queensland Winter Fun Twitch
The Winter Fun Twitch will be held on Saturday 4th July and Sunday 5th July 2009.
All Birds Queensland members are encouraged to form teams. Teams may be of two or more members. Make it as leisurely or as competitive as you like; no prizes are awarded! However, the winners in each category will be acknowledged in both the newsletter and on the web site.
There is a set of Twitch guidelines (PDF, 23 KB) that will give you the general requirements. Be aware that the categories are not necessarily constant from Twitch to Twitch due to changing conditions and to members' requests, so applicants should confirm such details closer to the date of any other future event.
For July, 2009, there will be two time categories:
Saturday am or pm, or Sunday am or pm
24 hours from anytime Saturday to the corresponding time on Sunday
There are three modes of transport categories:
Self-propelled (i.e. walking, cycling, canoeing or wheel-chair).
Public transport.
Unrestricted.
To enter:
Simply email your team name, contact details of the team leader, the names of other team members, and the time and transport categories to this email address. If you would like to take part, but don’t have a team, contact Mel, and he will endeavour to connect you to a suitable teammate or team, or,
Mail by post to Mel Stewart, 9 Newell Place, Westlake 4074.
Download the Information sheet and guidelines(PDF, 23 KB) to get the gist of it all, especially for your next opportunity to take part. The recording forms PDF (22 KB) or (MS Excel) (54 KB), used to record the bird species sighted, are also available.
After the twitch with your team, telephone or email your count for the period over which you competed to Mel Stewart (07 3376 5776) within 24 hours of the end of that part of the twitch.
The Birds Queensland November 2009 Twitchathon
Don't miss out on this twitch! It's a bit warmer and comfortable than our wintery July twitch. There'll be longer daylight periods and birding conditions should be great! We'll update timing details and these should be posted early in October.
