Dear Sir or Madam,
I am an Australian permanent resident, and I heard that we might be disadvantaged for applying Australian citizenship as current Chinese nationality holders. I and many of my Chinese friends, would be more than happy if the questions below are clarified.
First off, when I become an Australian citizen and get a passport, would the government through any means inform the Chinese government? When I have my Australian passport, can the border control officer still allow me to use my Chinese passport when leaving from and entering into Australia, for and from China? If I am required to present my Australian passport at the Australia passport control, can the officer stamp on my Chinese passport for the event of entering and leaving?
These questions arise simply because it's too difficult apply Chinese visas(their embassy services are extremely bad), and the Chinese government could invalidate my passport if they know I am granted with another citizenship.
We are looking forward to receiving your response.
