标题: Ku ring gai chase national park 夏季户外活动计划（12月5日）
夏天到了，让我们玩点徒步之外的玩意，mountain bike, snorkling, kayak...

时间是下个周日，地点是the basin，一个美轮美奂的camp ground，开车到west head rd，然后徒步或者骑山地车4公里到海边的营地，游泳，浮潜，划艇，烧烤......

请自带自行车，浮潜套装，皮划艇，什么也没有走去也可以，一个漂亮得不想离开的地方。

U can't drive to the Basin directly. There is a 2.8km track by walk or bike. It's a problem for kayaks....

Don't worry, you can either paddle from west head to the basin or we can carry the kayak and walk to the basin, just 3 km!

我的山地车有两个后货架包，可以运大量食品和饮料，营地bbq！

Bobbin head and Apple bay is more suitable for kayaks

Can we do snorkeling in the Basin? i will bring my snorkeling gear over there.

i dont have a kayak, but i am happy to rent one, is there anyone operating?

i can also bring beach umbrella, beach balls and paddles, picnic mat there if im going

Yes we can do snorkling at the basin, it's a safe place with shark net.

Sorry you can't rent a kayak at the basin, but you can rent somewhere else and 'move' to the basin. BTW, fernado has a kayak so you can talk to him and maybe.....

But per my memory that 2.8KM is up and down hill, right? It's really a challenge to carry a big pack with camping gears for me this time

周日去，不camping，这里人太多，晚上很吵，去的track是下山，很轻松。

The Basin campground
You can get to this beautiful spot by ferry from Palm Beach. The ferry is accessible with assistance, and the ferry crew is always helpful.

The Basin is well known for its sheltered sandy beach and inland lagoon. It's the only place you can camp in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, and is also a popular picnic spot for day visitors. It can accommodate 400 people, and has a public telephone and drink vending machine.

Getting there: Choose from one of the following options:

1. Take the ferry

which departs regularly from Palm Beach Wharf.

2. If you own a boat, anchor in the sheltered bay opposite the picnic and camping area.

3. Drive or ride your mountain bike through the park to West Head, then walk or cycle along the 2.8km Basin Track to The Basin. Note that vehicle entry fees apply for cars.

CHANCE OF RAIN当然没问题，就怕是今天这样的雨，天老是阴沉沉的就没意思了

Tina，这次有三组人，一组是peter(bushwalker)组织的徒步，你可以参考他的活动组织帖，他住burwood，如果你打算徒步，可以联系他。

另外一组似乎是voila和fernando，他们会划kayak到the basin。

最后就是我，一个人骑山地车从west head rd去the basin。
