AMES 10月份开课的workplace skills training。 这个课程是使用SLPET funding来读的，也就是说只要你曾经注册过AMEP510小时，或者AMEP Eligible都是可以来免费获得这个额外的200个小时针对各项工作技能的培训的。这个课程对英语水平有一定要求，需要达到三级水平，也就是说ISLPR的听说读写是1，1+以上，差不多是雅思4.5，5分左右。只有在西区（St Albans/ Werribee）的IOP(Industry Orientation Program)课程对英语水平要求较低，一级水平就可以加入该课程了。课程内容可以选择：English for professionals, English For Office Admin/Customer Services, Hospitality, Work in Trades等等多项选择，一共8周的课，2周的实习。实习的地方可以根据自己的兴趣方向来选择，比如选择Admin/Customer Services的实习单位可能为Centrelink, Council, Victoria University, Bunnings, Ikea, Coles等。
以Box Hill 的English for Community Services来举例，这个课程的学习内容为：
• English for Community Services
• Australian workplace communication
• Australian work culture and practices
• Practical work skills for Community Services
• Occupational Health & Safety
• Work Experience in a variety of Aged Care, Child Care or Community services settings
另外，该课程还可以帮助您进一步的证书课程作准备。 Preparation for the minimum industry qualification
