美国副总统给予美国LGBT平权活动家们肯定，他说你们改善了每一个美国人的生活。
On a campaign visit to Provincetown, he won loud applause when he told gay equality advocates: “You are freeing the soul of the American people.”
他还说：你们所做的事情正在解放全体美国人的灵魂！
Biden thanked them for advancing not just their own civil rights, but also the “civil rights of every straight American,” reports the Politico diary of the Obama Presidency.
他还感谢说：你们不但致力于你们自身的民权运动，而且你们的民权运动涉及到了每一个美国人。
“If I had to use one adjective to describe this community it’d be courage,” he added. “You have summoned the courage to speak out, to come out. We owe you.”
The new ‘Young Americans’ section of Barack Obama’s website has ‘LGBT’ as one of its topics. The President is quoted: “The work that we’ve done with respect to the LGBT community I think is just profoundly American and is are the heart of who we are.” See it here.
