請問有人知道CANNING VALE 的火車站何時會建?

好像這個提案還沒正式通過,就是預計將THRONLIE線延長至CANNING VALE。

預定的車站就在NICHOLSON RD & GARDEN ST 的 ROUNDABOUT 那邊,有人有更進一步的消息嗎?

如果建好,我家大概只離新車站2.6KM,呵呵~~~

進市區時間大大縮短了----------

現在用TRANSPERTH的規畫表進市區要五十幾分鐘,昏!!

Transport 2031 vision under fire

THERE will be no major improvements to transport links in the south-east metropolitan area until after 2031, according to the State Government’s Public Transport for Perth 2031 document released last week for public comment.

The extension of the Thornlie line through Canning Vale to the Mandurah line was included in the transport plan, but it will not be built until after 2031.

Southern River MLA Peter Abetz said he was pleased the extension had been included in the blueprint as he had been advocating it since he was elected, but he called for it to be fast-tracked.

“With the continuing development in Canning Vale and Southern River, I believe that the project will need to be commenced well before the 2031 date suggested,” Mr Abetz said.

Gosnells MLA Chris Tallentire said he was extremely disappointed by the document.

“The plan represents another broken promise, with the Thornlie line extension being dust-binned.

“(Premier Colin) Barnett has condemned people in Southern River and Huntingdale to years of gridlock, frustration and expense.

“Next time you are stuck in traffic on roads like Nicholson Road or Ranford Road, prepare for the situation to get worse as our south-east metro population grows without further public transport investment.

“The fact is there’s no money in the Government’s plan for this part of Perth.

“There are no dollars, just empty hands and no vision. We need deeds, not words.”

He said that by 2031, the only addition to public transport for residents in his electorate would be some bus lanes.

Other projects earmarked for after 2031 include a rapid bus transit link from Armadale to Cockburn Central and the extension of the Armadale rail line to Mundijong.

The plan is open for public comment until October 14 and is available at www.transport.wa.gov.au.

不过canning vale无论是走freeway,还是去murdoch station坐火车进城都还是很方便的。。

估计一时半会的没希望吧,去年买房前,我们就搜索了相关的资料,发现这个从thornlie延伸至canning vale的提案是早在几年前就有了,但是一直没有付诸行动,那片地就那么荒着,澳洲人办事效率很差,做事忒慢了。
不过nicholson 和yale那个交叉口的roundabout设计的很不合理,早上经常堵车,经常是一面车多的走不动,一面没什么车,现在正在拓宽道路,要是改成红绿灯就会好很多的。
我们现在去city的话都是去thornlie坐车,很快,25分钟就到city了,从你现在住的地方去火车站也不远的。
住canning vale靠近thornlie这边的,去murdoch坐车还是不太方便的,从murdoch坐火车去city确实快,但是从canning vale去murdoch的路上早上也很多车。现在每天都走south st/ranford,上下班高峰期真是车很多。
要是火车站能早点建好的话,我们家和你家一样离火车站近很多:lol

還好的是,至少目前我不是在CITY上班,只是偶爾休假的時候進辦公室做點事情,因為是自己假日,高興幾點去就幾點去-----呵呵!
