请教relating 和 related的用法
"Research, relating to indentical twins, has highlighted how significant inherited characteristics can be for an individual's life."文中的relating 为什么不用related
哪位能给解释下,多谢. 用 past participle(V. + ed), present participle(V. + ing) 好像有点复杂，有时候是习惯固定用法，有时候是两者都可。
这个是不是强调新闻中目前正在发生的事件呢？relating to ... has highlighted // 要是 related to ... 就是 had highlighted , or highlighted .. has a direct link with vs. "about".....
For example, when you say that the book you wrote is "related to" a book by your favorite author, this means that your book is from the same editor, is in the same series, is about the same subject. But if you say that the book you wrote is "relating to" the book by your favorite author, than you mean that it is ABOUT that author or his book, or that it mentions him or his book in some way..
