Flood warning for central Victoria
Motorists are being advised to drive to the conditions following flooding in central Victoria and as a further 40mm of rain is forecast to fall on Saturday night.The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a flood warning for the towns of Tarnagulla, Dunolly and Bridgewater.
Floodwaters are also affecting the Calder Highway between Wedderburn and Charlton, and speed limits have been lowered to 40km/h.
A severe weather warning has been issued for flash flooding affecting the North Central, Northern Country, Central, West and South Gippsland, East Gippsland and North East districts.
Drivers are urged not to enter floodwaters because of potential strong currents and unpredictable water levels, police said.
